A Message from CNB Bank President, Jason Holliman

You may have heard the familiar nautical term, “Steady as she goes” which means to steady the ship on the course it is heading whether it is smooth sailing or rough weather. I have heard this phrase a lot over the years with in terms of “keep doing what you are doing” but also to describe someone who is “steady” – someone you can count on no matter the circumstances.

CNB has been fortunate for 47 years to have someone that fits that description. Whether it has been smooth sailing or a little bit rocky, she has always remained steady doing a great job year after year. It is both rare and awesome to have someone who has dedicated that much of their life to one job.

Lois Ownby is retiring March 15 after a spectacular career at CNB. Lois has a great work ethic and attitude, and she is emblematic of a great employee and better person. Lois could have worked anywhere for the past 47 years but chose CNB.

Lois, thank you for all you have done for CNB, our customers and employees over the years. I hope you enjoy your well-deserved retirement and if you get bored, just come on back! I hope you will join me in thanking Lois for all she has done for CNB over the years and wishing her a happy retirement.
